The Work Pathways program is a post-school training program designed for people with additional learning needs. The Work Pathways program offers two different qualifications Certificate 1 in Transition Education and Certificate 1 in Work Education.

TasTafe also runs a partnership with the Huon Trade Training Centre at 101 Wilmot rd. in Huonville. There are regular courses that people sign up for with or without a support worker. Some certificates are for free.

OAK-Possability: Transition to work

OAK Tasmania is a southern Tasmanian disability service provider that currently operates in the Huon as well as Hobart, Clarence and Glenorchy. OAK is also registered with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). Oak Tasmania has been a leading provider of services to Tasmanians with a disability since 1953. Our services are innovative, creative, and focused on the individual needs of each person. We support the ability of each person to connect with their local community and to maintain a strong link with their families. OAK is committed to promote a culture of learning and life-long education and, as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operating as OAK Training and Development Services, seeks to develop valid vocational outcomes. OAK also offers OAK Youth Pathways (OYP) which provides high quality vocational services for young people with a disability in maximising their opportunities post school. OYP is able to build partnerships with OAKs RTO as well as its range of business enterprises and other Australian Disability Enterprises, to offer invaluable on the job experience.

Square Pegs Dyslexia Support Tasmania

This is a Tasmanian initiative that provides parent support, professional learning and community awareness programs with the aim of improving recognition, understanding and action for children with dyslexia. The website has links and information for parents and teachers of dyslexic children. You can join the network and contribute to surveys.
