Members experience reduced social isolation, increased confidence and resilience, and they strengthen their community ties.
In addition, Oak-Possability’s Community Connection program provides great opportunities to participate in a wide range of social activities, physical exercise and community-based pursuits. Whatever your individual interest, they are dedicated to making it happen.

The Parkside Foundation
The Parkside Foundation provides a wide range of flexible leisure and recreational services for people with intellectual disabilities in the greater Hobart area. Activities such as Horse Riding, Computer Skills, Art and Craft are provided in a variety of settings. Parkside runs activities for a small group of residents of the Huon Valley on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Break A Way holiday house provides a low-cost holiday option on the popular Tasman Peninsula, allowing families to relax and unwind while enjoying the benefits of a beachside holiday. The Tasman Holiday Experience make the Break A Way holiday house available to:
Families of children with a disability
Families of older people with a disability
People with dementia and their carers

- Extra Adults: $10.00 per extra adult per night
- Booking fee/key deposit: $50.00

LiVe Tasmania
The LiVe Tasmania philosophy is one which places the person at the centre of our organisation. Within all of our service divisions we strive to maximise the quality of life enjoyed by every person. LiVe Tasmania offers a range of services tailored to meet the diverse and changing needs of people and their families. LiVe Tasmania continually seeks to not only ensure the health and wellbeing of people, but is also dedicated to ensure that each individual achieves their full potential. An inclusive environment engaging not only the person, but also family and friends are recognised as an integral aspect of person centered development. LiVe Tasmania currently has 80 people in nine properties and services located across the greater Hobart area. Our services include a combination of accommodation, day support in-home support and respite services. Each person prepares an annual Personal Plan, in conjunction with Support Staff and Advocates. Here they express their goals and aspirations for the coming 12 months. It is then the role of staff to assist them within the available resources. People are involved in a variety of day time activities. Many have employment with organisations such as Oak Enterprises and Plane Tree Studios whilst others have retired. Others may be participants in Community Access Services provided by this or other organisations.

Mosaic Support Services
Our Community Access programs are all designed to give you the chance to learn and develop your life skills. We provide day support, after school programs and programs for people who are leaving school but aren’t quite sure if they’re ready for further education. We also provide camps in the school holidays and vacation care. Mosaic Support Services is very proud of our arts program, where we teach, among other things, photography, film-making, painting and ceramics. We run the Mosaic Festival of Arts each year which gives our clients the opportunity to exhibit their work in several locations across the city. The festival also includes performances from our bands and dance groups and is a wonderful way to showcase our clients individual talents to the wider community.

The Tasmanian Government Companion Card
The Tasmanian Companion Card entitles eligible people with lifelong disability to a free ticket for their companion carer at participating venues and events. The Companion Card is a photo ID card which identifies a person with disability who requires lifelong support from a companion carer to participate at most community events. Companion Card holders present their card at participating venues and events when purchasing a ticket or paying an entry fee and receive a ticket for their companion carer at no extra charge. Thanks to reciprocal arrangements with every other State and territory, Tasmanian cardholders can use their card when on holidays or travelling interstate.
